Google Research Scholar Program 2023 is for the early-career Professors in Africa and outside of Africa which is worth 60,000 US dollars for the successful candidates

This Research Scholar Program is mainly to support early-career professors who have shown interest in building a career in fields relevant to Google Research. The Research Scholar Program will provide a proper environment and donations which will aid research at any institution that the participants may be, and it is only funding world-class research carried out by early-career professors.

Google encourage submissions from professors globally who are teaching at universities and meet the eligibility requirements. It is Google’s hope that this program will help develop collaborations with new professors and encourage the formation of long-term relationships.

The awards, gifts and donations distributed by Google to these universities are intended to be used for the promotion of the research work to be conducted by the professor and to be used effectively throughout the period of the Google Research.

Eligibility For Participants In The Google Research Awards

·        Interested applicants should be a full-time assistant professor in a university, college of learning or a professor at a university or degree-granting research college or institution.

·        Post doctoral staffs that must not be the primary PI but a co-PI can apply

·        The applicants Must be PhD holders which must have stayed for a duration of seven years.

·        Applications should be submitted one per round to avoid disqualification

·        Applicants can re-apply for a maximum of three times

·        Applicants can not serve on two separate proposal for an application

Google Research Awards Funding Amount For Early-career Professors

The participants will be given a grant of 60,000 US dollars and google intend to continue to provide every support need during the period of the research.

Google ask applicants to categorize their proposals into one of the following areas of interest to Google in Computer Science and related fields:
